From my apartment window, I can see a church. Every Sunday
many people come to offer their prayers to the almighty. Every time I see them,
I think these people at least visit the church on Sunday where as we don’t
visit temple unless there is any big festival.
In contrast, even though we don’t visit temples, our god has
too much impact on our life. We have so many temples in India, forget India
just in Pune. And in Pune just in one lane, there are ten Ganapatis.
I am also thinking, why Americans (or Western world) doesn’t
have that many churches. We have “Laal Baagcha Raja”, so why don’t they have
“Niagara’s Christ”? We have so many dhaams in India and on top of it we also
have Tirupathi Balaji, Vaishno Devi, Sai Baba. In so many years of history
America couldn’t afford a single Baba? Sad!!
Our culture is so rich that we have 32,000 Crore gold in
just one temple. Tirupathi Bhagwan get so much offering that America’s all
churches together may not have assets with Tirupathi Trust. These people you
see; so selfish that they spend money on liquor and parties, but they do not
offer anything to the god. Very bad! Look at us, we don’t have money to pay
school fees but we offer so much to the god.
They don’t have any god who accepts Mannat (Votive offering). Their superstars don’t walk from home to
church for success of their new movie. Look at our Super Heros. They are god
gifted like Krish. Even Ra-One needs Ganapathi’s help to stop train (Morya
Morya). I wonder in next Mission Impossible, will Tom Cruise take help from
Jesus’s Cruce? How about James Bond as agent number 786 as oppose to 007?
Our Maharashtra Police are so religious that each Police
Station and Chauki offers Prasad on every Thursday. They don’t differentiate
anyone for that. If you are commissioner or criminal, you will get Prasad. Can NYPD or LAPD offer that?
We hold our ambulance and fire trucks for any procession.
(For that matter without any reason also we sometimes stop them). That much Bhakti and dedication is required.
Western world will not understand this. They still believe laws and human life
is more important. So Poor! Kasam(bh)
se!
Have you ever heard someone from US telling that “I take
oath on my mother, I am telling truth”. They can’t do that. It is our love
towards family which reflect in our culture. This power is such that we can
stop anyone from doing anything. “Don’t tell this to anyone, you have Kasam of your mother”. That’s it!
Are they weak because they don’t have religion power behind
them? Are we really strong as many gods are backing up us? Answer me now, you
have Kasam of our friendship.
